I see some of my friends still going through a fight trying to figure everything out. It breaks my heart. I cant imagine being in their shoes. I am all for having a good time, but to the extent of not knowing whats going on, forgetting everything the next morning, hurting people by saying things you dont mean....why would anyone want that on themselves?????? God is so amazing. I would rather get drunk in his spirit then drunk by any alcohol. Its so hard to see my friends still battling, trying to figure out their place in this world. You have to be either so far perfect or so far wrong to them. If they are going to be bad, they have to go all in. Its not supposed to be like that. You can have a drink and still love God, you can have a drink and still go to church, God is still going to love you. Its all about putting him first, not going overboard. Oh i just wish they could understand!!!!!

It's hard but sometimes all you can do is just love people where they are at and show them you still appreciate them no matter who they present themselves as or what they do (especially when it doesn't match up with your lifestyle). :) I'll be praying for you and your friends.

ReplyDeleteGirl... I want you to know that I love you.... and I am praying for you and your friends. For your friends, that they will find the strength to kick whatever it is that's hindering their relationship with Jesus. And for you... to have the heart of God for them. He loves them so much and needs YOU to show them that. Jack's right, just meet them where they are... that's what Jesus did when He was here. He didn't invite the people to church.. He went straight to them and loved them just how they were.
ReplyDeleteI used to think that everytime I did something wrong, that God was so upset with me... that He looked at me with disapointment and anger. Then I realized that He knows every decision I'm going to make every moment of every day.. good or bad.. He knows it. So, He knows that your friends are going to get wasted say.... 100 times in there life before they hit rock bottom and realize that there's more to life than that. So.. last time they got drunk, they were down to 49 more times.. this Friday, God will be rejoicing because He knows that it will only take 48 more times for them to cry out to Him.
Just keep praying for them.. and love them. They need you! Let your light shine, my friend. Love you.
